Which of 17 search and AI crawlers a site's robots.txt allows, for the home page and any path, with the deciding rule.
scan_site API key
Starts a full scan: each page requested as Googlebot, Bingbot, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and CCBot and compared with a rendered view.
get_scan API key
Status, score, category scores, technical health, Domain Rating and top issues. Can wait for a running scan to finish.
list_issues API key
Every issue from a completed scan, most severe first, with details and example URLs.
list_scans API key
Your recent scans with status and score.

What is the Why Won't AI MCP server?

A remote MCP server that gives AI assistants and coding agents the same checks as whywontai.com: a robots.txt check for AI crawlers and full AI visibility scans of a website.

Do I need an account?

Not for check_robots, which works without a key up to a daily limit. scan_site, get_scan, list_issues and list_scans need an API key from a whywontai.com account; a free account works and scans use your plan's limits.

Which transport does it use?

Streamable HTTP. It is stateless and answers with JSON, so any client that supports remote HTTP MCP servers can connect.
